Man accused of stabbing charged with murder

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A man accused in a stabbing was arraigned on murder charges in District Court on Thursday.

According to court documents, 25-year-old William Robert Selbe of Charleston stabbed Nick Hodge twice after a physical altercation at 6414 MacCorkle Avenue SE in Charleston.

The incident occurred on June 13, 2024.

Judge Jennifer Bailey informed Selbe of the allegations against him.

Same pleaded not guilty.

The court then ordered Selbe to remain in jail without bail.

The trial against Selbe is scheduled for February 10, 2025.

If convicted, Selbe faces a maximum penalty of life in prison.
