Man charged with kidnapping in Kansas is awaiting extradition from Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KCTV) – The man charged in a Kansas kidnapping is awaiting extradition after being found hiding in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jackson County District Court records filed Wednesday, October 30, show that 22-year-old Chase M. Bennett, the man wanted for kidnapping in Johnson County, Kansas, was found and arrested in Kansas City became.

An extradition waiver filed in Jackson County indicated that Bennett was wanted by the state of Kansas on an aggravated kidnapping charge filed in Johnson County. The waiver was signed by Judge R. Travis Willingham.

As of Thursday, Bennett remains behind Jackson Co. bars as he awaits extradition to Johnson Co. No bail was listed. No further information was released.
