Kelly Clarkson looks completely unrecognizable in her spooky Halloween costume

In the spirit of all things spooky and spectacular, Kelly Clarkson took Halloween to an otherworldly level by donning one Beetlejuice Costume that had fans making lookalikes.

For the Thursday, October 31st episode The Kelly Clarkson ShowRocking the black-and-white pinstripe suit and wild green hair, the 42-year-old singer-turned-talk show host channeled “The Ghost with the Most” – aka Betelgeuse.

People gave fans a first look at Clarkson's dramatic makeover, showing her dressed in the iconic character's spooky style, right down to the rotten teeth and dark, ringed eyes. The transformation was so successful that her house band reacted with a mix of shock and amusement, reportedly telling her, “You look disgusting,” as they laughed at the uncanny resemblance.

The “Because Of You” singer's entire glam squad took part in creating the look, with stylist Micaela Erlanger and dresser Arleisha Randle handling wardrobe, while Emmy-nominated makeup artist Gloria Elias- Foeillet designed the ghostly complexion. The special effects makeup was the work of Emmy winner Louie Zakarian, a veteran of Saturday Night Liveand Betelgeuse's signature hairstyle was co-styled by Corey Morris SNL Wig maker Brittany Hartman.

True to form, Clarkson opened the episode with a rendition of “Banana Boat (Day-O),” the Harry Belafonte song that has become synonymous with the film's whimsical horror. Guests Reba McEntire and her boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, also appeared in costume. The 69-year-old country legend dressed up as Delia Deetz, played by Catherine O'Hara in the original Tim Burton film, while 67-year-old Linn joined in the fun as Danny DeVito's ghostly janitor character in this year's sequel. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

After People When she shared a first look at Clarkson's costume on Instagram, it didn't take long for fans to join the chat.

“No way!!!! I never thought that!!😍😂,” one person posted.

“This might be the best thing I've ever seen! 🤯 Bravo, @kellyclarkson!! 👏🏼👏🏼,” cheered another.

“@reba is literally the most perfect Delia,” a third pointed out.

“YOU LOOK SO GOOD, QUEEN!!!!! 🔥🔥,” said another.
