2 men accused of car theft in Kyle arrested; Found with meth and stolen gun

Two men in Kyle were arrested on burglary charges, police said.

Kyle police said around 1:29 a.m. Oct. 30, officers responded to a report of a car break-in in the 3200 block of Kyle Crossing. The items stolen included a travel bag containing AirPods.

The AirPods were traced to a location in the 300 block of Love Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle with two men standing in front of it. When questioned, both said they found the holdall on the street after it was left behind by the original burglar.

The men also had a stolen gun in the car and 19.2 grams of meth and several empty baggies.

Anthony Lowden, 39, of Kyle, was arrested on charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

Troy Nicolls, 33, of Buda, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, theft of a firearm and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
