Man is accused of sexual abuse, recording a minor

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A man is accused of tricking a 12-year-old into recording videos, and police say he sent one to the child with the message: “Delete everything that saw the video. “

Alexander Givens, 44, of Davenport, was charged with second-degree sexual abuse and sexual exploitation to perform a sexual act, both Class B felonies; and three counties in which material depicting a minor engaging in a sexual offense, a Class D felony, was purchased or possessed.

Police say there are several videos of the child, including one with Givens and one with a woman.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 8 at 10 a.m.
