The game's open beta test became available on October 28, 2024, and it didn't take long for fans to dig through the code. One of the most intriguing details to emerge from the leak is the fact Monster Hunter Wilds will bring back a few opponents not seen since 2018 Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

Capcom's highly anticipated action RPG has already made significant progress despite not being released yet. Almost 25,000 Steam users were active Monster Hunter Wilds before the beta was even available on PC. The early adopters were also hard at work, as leaks from the game's code started appearing online just days after play testing began.

What to expect from the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta

Monster Hunter Wilds will have a short open beta with crossplay and even early access for PS5 players starting October 31st.

According to the leak, fans can expect to see Gravios, Gypceros, Nerscylla, and Gore Magala in the upcoming release. Fans have learned what each of these codes represent and can decipher the text to learn which monsters are coming to the game, even if Capcom hasn't announced them yet. This isn't the first time this has happened either. Rise of the Monster Hunters's Monsters leaked before the game was released in 2020.


Even without the return of these four beasts, the next title in the Monster hunter The series is shaping up to be its biggest yet. Capcom has already announced a number of massive changes Monster Hunter Wildsincluding a 3D map, new mechanics and armor that is no longer tied to gender. While there's no official word yet on how many monsters will make it into the game, it's safe to say that players won't be short of creatures to battle against when it's fully released.

Currently, wilderness is still in open beta, which runs until November 3, 2024. The full game will be released on February 28, 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.
