Jets WR Malachi Corley dropped the ball in celebration before crossing the goal line

Jets rookie receiver Malachi Corley ran for a 19-yard touchdown.

However, Corley dropped the ball in celebration before crossing the plane.

After a replay of the play, the ball went out of the back of the end zone after he dropped it just short of the goal line. It was a touchback that gave the ball back to the Texans.

The Jets committed another pointless play in the first quarter when Jets receiver Irvin Charles hit Texas punter Tommy Townsend on 4th-and-21. The 15-yard roughing the punter penalty included a first down.

The Texans had a chance to score on this possession and got to the Jets' 12, but Micheal Clemons had a strip sack of CJ Stroud at the Jets' 18 that Will McDonald recovered.
