Trump brings family members of antitrust crime victim and Marine veteran Nicholas Quets to the stage at the Nevada rally

Former President Donald Trump brought family members of Marine veteran Nicholas Quets on stage during his rally in Nevada on Thursday.

Quets was shot dead in Mexico near the U.S. border on Oct. 18 by gunmen who may have had ties to a Mexican drug cartel.

“He was brutally gunned down on the highway and murdered by members of a Mexican cartel,” Trump said of Quets.

“Two weeks ago I was a completely apolitical actor,” Quet’s father, Douglas, told the crowd.

Douglas said his son was “shot in the back on the way to the beach in Mexico.”

He thanked Trump for “bringing attention” to his son's death and praised the “good conversations” he has since had with the former president and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance.

“I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for my family by bringing attention to this. This was not reported in the media,” the grieving father added.

His mother, Patricia, implored the crowd to “help us get justice for Nicholas.”

“We’ll take care of it,” Trump said. “We’ll get this guy.”

“Mexico will hand him over to us,” the former president said of Nick’s killer.
