19-year-old man killed in Phoenix City crash

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) – A 19-year-old man has died in a car accident in Phoenix City.

According to the Russell County Coroner's Office, Marshall Cole Woods was determined to be at the scene just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Officials said the accident happened at the Colin Powell exit on the highway. 280.

Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. said the victim suffered blunt force injuries. Woods' body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
