How to pull off the viral glitter freckles trend started by Taylor Swift

Well, a diamond's gotta shine, and this one sparkles like the brightest gem in pop music today. In case you ever had any doubts, the “Taylor Swift Effect” is still in full effect. At the Kansas City Chiefs' recent game against the New Orleans Saints on October 7, Taylor Swift caused a stir on the internet by sporting sparkly freckles, sparking a brand new beauty trend that we're all excited about.

In the game, Swift gave the fake freckle trend a twist by replacing traditional freckle sticks with glitter flecks. She paired the 'Bejewelled' look with her signature red lip and was dressed head to toe in Vivienne Westwood. The starlet looked absolutely stunning as she cheered on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

How did Taylor Swift create the glittery freckle look?

According to a Taylor Swift fansite @TaylorSwiftStyled run by Sarah Chapelle, Swift created the look with $16 glitter freckles from Conclusion. The beauty brand is a woman-founded small business founded by Nina LaBruna and Aliett Buttelman. Buttelman, a profound Swiftie, recently went viral after posting a TikTok video of the artist wearing glitter patches.

Following Swift's NFL appearance with her glittery freckle patches, the small business saw an incredible increase in sales thanks to Swifties scrambling to get their hands on the exact item worn by their idol. According to Buttelman, sales of Conclusion's glitter freckles increased 2,500 percent in just 13 hours. The popularity of the product has made Conclusion makeup patches a #1 Amazon bestseller in the body glitter category. And the numbers are still rising steadily.

While there are seven different styles and colors to choose from, the songwriter reportedly wore the Red Spirit variant. The resulting look was truly adorable, especially for something festive or a celebration.

How can you recreate the look?

Conclusion glitter patches are easy to apply and remove. According to the brand, it is similar to applying a temporary tattoo. You need to peel off the back of the glitter freckles and apply the sticky side to your face. You can also apply some pressure with a damp towel to hold it in place. Those freckles can be easily removed with makeup remover when you're ready to say goodbye. And luckily for all the international Swifties who want to get in on the fun trend, Conclusion actually delivers abroad too.

Be warned: As incredibly popular as these patches are, it might be difficult to snag them while they're in stock. In this case, it's possible to recreate the look with a glitter pen or perhaps even some facial gemstones for a festive glow.
