Ja Morant has been trying to find his footing after a few rocky seasons. He missed all but nine games last season due to a 25-game suspension and subsequent torn labrum, and he's been a bit rough so far this season.

But he really turned it up on Thursday with 26 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds in just 29 minutes as the Grizzlies posted a commanding 122-99 win over the hapless Bucks – who, by the way, look like one lifeless catastrophe. Things could get very ugly, very quickly, in Milwaukee if this continues.

Morant, who entered the game shooting just 42% overall and 16% from 3-point range, hit nine of 16 shots, including two of his five three-pointers. He played hard for the Bucks, using his typically dizzying spins to force his way into the team at will.

But it was Morant's death that was his night's “You've got to be kidding me” climax. Midway through the second quarter, he threw a pinpoint alley-oop while literally sitting at the 3-point line. Yes, you heard that right. He was sit down, after going to the ground to intercept a deflected pass.

Perhaps even more impressive than the pass itself was the patience Morant displayed from the seat of his pants. This is such a panic-inducing position. We see guys all the time who get on the floor and just throw a pass in the direction of anything that even resembles a teammate to get out of trouble, whether they're actually in trouble or not.

Morant realized he wasn't in trouble, that the Bucks were just kind of circling him but not really worrying him. So he took his time, eyeing the floor as if it were a normal play. When Santi Aldama opened up along the baseline and Morant delivered the dime like he was fooling around in his backyard.

Frankly, Morant looked like that all night as he recorded his triple-double before the middle of the third quarter. This was the epitome of playing “without breaking a sweat.” Morant laughed throughout the game but still managed to play with discipline as he only committed one turnover after suffering 17 turnovers in his first four games. The Bucks were merely a collective support in Morant's one-man show, which ended with Memphis' third win of the season (3-2) and moved the Bucks to 1-4.
