Man Killed on Atomic Drive in Cumberland Co; Deputies charge Fayetteville man with killing him

Authorities are searching Thursday evening for a man who they say killed someone in Cumberland County earlier in the day.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Atomic Drive in Spring Lake.

When they arrived, scholar Damonte Larsen, 22, of Spring Lake, was shot and taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Deputies said 21-year-old Tresean Alexander Green of Fayetteville is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Larsen's death.

The sheriff's office said it will release more information as it becomes available.
