I-26 West reopens after accident

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – All lanes of I-26 West have reopened after a crash completely shut down the roadway.

Emergency services had previously instructed cars to drive through the shoulder at mile marker 207.5.

The right lane was then briefly opened to traffic before emergency services began to completely clear the scene of the accident.

Due to the accident there may be delays throughout the morning. Drivers are therefore advised to be patient when commuting.

Parts of the highway may be at a standstill until traffic returns to normal.
