One dead after multi-vehicle crash in Cullman County

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A man has died in a multi-vehicle crash in Cullman County on Monday, October 21st.

Chadrick D. Kilpatrick, 51, of Arley, was fatally injured when his vehicle struck a tractor-trailer and then another vehicle on AL 91 near Cullman County 738, five miles east of Hanceville.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), after the initial impact, the semi-truck left the roadway, caught fire and was completely engulfed in flames.

Kilpatrick was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the third vehicle involved in the crash, 62-year-old Roger D. Harris, was taken to Cullman Regional Medical Center for treatment.

ALEA says an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
