Liz Cheney responds to Donald Trump's violent assassination fantasy to kill her

Liz Cheney has been on Donald Trump's enemies list since she denounced his behavior surrounding the insurrection, served as vice chair of the congressional committee investigating him, vowed to keep him out of the White House, and supported and campaigned with Vice President Kamala Harris .

But now Cheney is on Trump's assassination wish list, and he expressed a sick desire to have her shot “in the face” with “nine guns.”

Cheney responded with a tweet on Friday morning:

“This is how dictators destroy free nations. They threaten those who speak out against them with death. We cannot entrust our country and our freedom to a petty, vindictive, cruel and unstable man who wants to be a tyrant.”

The former president and GOP nominee took the stage with conservative broadcaster Tucker Carlson at an event in Glendale, Arizona, on Thursday night, where he called the former Republican representative a “radical war hawk” and revealed his deadly fantasy – four days ago the presidential election.

“Let’s put them with a gun that shoots at them with nine barrels. Let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are pointed at their face,” Trump said.

Carlson said nothing as Trump continued, including insulting Cheney's father, a former Republican vice president who, in a historic nod, had also endorsed Harris.

“They're all war hawks when they sit in a nice building in Washington and say, 'Oh, man, well, let's send 10,000 troops straight into the jaws of the enemy,'” Trump added.

“But she’s a stupid person. And I used to have meetings with a lot of people and she always wanted to go to war with the people.”

After condemning the Iraq War and bragging about pardoning Dick Cheney's then-chief of staff Scooter Libby, who was convicted of perjury in 2007, Trump put the former vice president's daughter in his crosshairs.
