Malachi Corley of the Jets: Throws the ball away to prevent the touchdown

In Thursday's 21-13 win over the Texans, Corley ran once for 18 yards and lost a fumble.

Corley's first NFL carry was memorable for a different reason than he would have liked, as he entered the open field and ran into the end zone, but knocked the ball out of his hand as he crossed the goal line, and a review revealed the der Ball left his hand before crossing the goal line. Then it rolled out of the back of the end zone for a touchback. The 2024 third-round draft pick has only one goal in his NFL career, and while Corley showed some promise in the open field in his only touchdown on Thursday, careless mental mistakes won't get him to stick with the coaching staff to ingratiate Jets.
