Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said a video should show this Haitian claim that they elected illegally because Kamala Harris is a fake and probably the work of a Russian troll farm.

In the video posted to social media on Thursday, a man claims that he and others shown in the footage are from Haiti, arrived in the United States six months ago, received U.S. citizenship within that time, and have been living in several Georgia for Kamala Harris votes counties.

“Yesterday we voted in Gwinnett County, and today we’re voting in Fulton County,” the man said. “We have all our documents, the driving license. We invite all Haitians to come to America and bring families with them.”

Raffensperger said his office is working with state and federal partners to determine the origin of the video and pushed for it X owner Elon Musk and the “leadership of other social media platforms” to remove the video.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) told CBS News that it is aware of the footage and is working with federal partners to conduct further investigation.

Darren Linvill, an expert in Russian disinformation and co-director of the Media Forensics Hub at Clemson University, told CBS News the video had striking similarities to previous videos released by a Russian influence group called Storm-1516.

The video was posted on an anonymous X account that had previously shared Russian disinformation, Linvill said. Storm-1516 was linked to other fake videos, including footage It is incorrectly intended to be shown to election workers Ripping up ballots in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
