DJ Envy requested his daughter's “Cringe” Lil Kim Halloween costume

What was supposed to be a fun Halloween moment for the Casey family has led to many slamming dad, DJ Envy, for allowing his young daughter to dress up as “Crush On You” Lil Kim for Halloween .

The post itself is harmless enough and contains features The Breakfast Club Co-hosted FaceTiming with the Brooklyn icon herself, who wholeheartedly agreed that the young actress rocked her signature colorful looks from the 1997 video, which featured appearances from Uncle Luke, Aaliyah, Sheek Louch and more.

The clip also matches the costumes: Envy's daughter wears similar wigs and furs, as well as a risqué red bodysuit. She then lip-syncs Kim lyrics, including “I'll be undressed in a bra, all see-through” and “The only one thing I wanna do is freak you”, although she covers her mouth during the more explicit lines be presented. Check out the clip below.

Cardi B took to Envy's comments section with a supportive message, writing, “She took the assignment very seriously, SHE ate THAT!!!,” and Lil Scrappy added, “The baby won Best Actor in a Movie, That’s what she did.”

However, most followers felt the choice of costume and song was inappropriate given their explicit nature.

“I could understand if your wife played Kim, but your daughter? Really? This is KRAZY,” Walt wrote on VH1 Black Ink Crewwith another observer writing: “It's disgusting and inappropriate for your child to be out here dressing and rapping like that for the world to see…”

“Dope concept. Wrong delivery. “#cringe” offered one awkward follower, and another added: “I don't know any decent parents who would be okay with their daughter in an outfit like this at 8 years old…very inappropriate…”

The Casey family also paid tribute to Aaliyah, recreating her 1997 video “One In A Million.” Check out the homage and the original below.
