Fountain City Death Investigation

FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. (WEAU) – A 57-year-old woman was found dead in a home on Court Lane in Fountain City on Wednesday.

A Buffalo County Sheriff's Office deputy was speaking with a resident when the deputy learned there was a dead woman inside.

An active death investigation is ongoing and there is currently no threat to the public. Both the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Criminal Investigation Division will conduct an autopsy Thursday.
