Bold and the Beautiful's Lawrence Saint-Victor isn't worried

To The bold and the beautifulCarter has dared to propose some lofty ideas that will make Forrester Creations stand out. However, Steffy is against pretty much everything he has to say, especially when he teams up with her nemesis Hope. Carter and Steffy may be heading for a feud, but his portrayer Lawrence Saint-Victor isn't worried about Steffy breaking up with Carter.

COO is an important job

Saint-Victor recently sat down with Soaps and opened up about what's going on with Carter. He explained that Carter considered himself part of the Forrester family and took his work very seriously. He and Hope (Annika Noelle) recently revealed that they have feelings for each other, and he has become increasingly protective of her and her clothing line, Hope for the Future. “He sees how she’s kind of devalued by Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and how that translates into Hope For the Future,” he said.

But considering that Carter is the COO of Forrester Creations, Saint-Victor noted, “He's in such an important position at Forrester that he should be able to question his CEOs and have a discussion.” He recalled appreciating one of Carter's lines, which stated that HFTF is failing because Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) left as lead designer and the company should support it and give it more resources than simply canceling it .

Carter is not just any ordinary employee

Saint-Victor then explained why Steffy irritated Carter, especially after she resented his idea of bringing back Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) to restart Forrester's jewelry line. He noted that Steffy “may feel disrespected by Carter, but he feels disrespected by her.” He says, “I'm your COO.” Why don't you hear me? You can say no, but let's really talk about it first.'” He also explained that Steffy treats Carter like any old employee and that he doesn't like it. Asked whether hiring Ivy without notice would jeopardize Carter's job, Saint-Victor replied: “I don't think so, not at this point. Carter feels like part of the family, and sometimes the family doesn't get along. I don't think he thinks his career is anywhere near in danger.” Hopefully Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric (John McCook) will come to their senses and embrace Carter's vision for the future of their company.
