After starting the season with an 11-game unbeaten streak, Monaco will suffer a first defeat in the Derby de la Cote D'Azur against Nice last weekend.

Adi HutterThe Principality's men were top of the table at the start of the international break, but after losing top spot with a 0-0 draw at home to Lille, last week's result now leaves the Principality side three points behind Paris Saint- Germain.

A red card in the first half Vanderson was ultimately costly as Monaco squandered an early lead and lost 2-1 at the Allianz Riviera Gaetan Laborde net the winner.

However, being back on home soil should be a blessing as they currently have their longest unbeaten home streak (11 games) in almost seven years.

That run extends to 13 games when all competitions are taken into account, and if Monaco can avoid consecutive defeats with a win for the first time in over 18 months, the pressure will shift back to PSG only playing against Lens on Saturday.

The home side will also be high on the list considering they have won all of their last seven games against Angers – their longest streak against a top-flight side – with the four home wins coming with clean sheets in that period.

However, Angers will be buoyed by their first win of the season last week, which had an impact on the bottom of the table, moving them up two places and out of the relegation zone entirely, despite spending almost the entire season so far at the bottom of the Ligue 1st ranking.

Alexandre DujeuxThe Barcelona side endured an intense encounter that saw them beat Saint-Etienne twice before eventually emerging 4-2 winners at the Stade Raymond-Kopa.

Despite being favorites to avoid relegation, Angers has proven difficult to beat. The only defeat in the last six games was against Reims, leaving Marseille with a draw in that run.

However, Angers now face the top two teams in the league in their next two games, so their mettle will be tested, especially given they are still winless in 19 away games in Ligue 1.

With another winless away game, they become the first top team since Lorient to play at least 20 away games without a win between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2022.

However, Dujeux's men are currently unbeaten in three away games against Raymond-Kopa and have drawn each time. Another point here would be much celebrated, while also recording their longest unbeaten away streak in three years.

Red cards in consecutive games mean Monaco will be without a defensive duo Jordan Teze and Vanderson here, leaving a gaping hole at right-back, so Wilfried Singo may be forced to move and represent in a wide area.

Hutter's defensive problems have already been exhausted by the current absence of Mohammed Salisuwho returned from international duty in Ghana with an injury, i.e. a young player Christian Mawissa Elebi can be incorporated.

Monaco's other injury concerns are a concern Folarin Balogunwho will be out for the next few months after dislocating his shoulder in early October.

Angers was able to welcome Bamba Dieng He has returned to the team as a late substitute in the last two weeks and after scoring the winning goal that took the game past St Etienne a week ago, he could be on his way into the starting XI.

Lilian Raolisoa will serve the final game of his three-game ban for the red card against Marseille while his fellow defenders Cedric Hountondji And Jacques Ekomie are out due to thigh injuries.

Monaco's possible starting lineup:
Majecki; Singo, Mawissa Elebi, Kehrer, Caio Henrique; Camara, Zakaria; Akliouche, Golovin, Ben Seghir; Embolo

Anger's possible starting lineup:
Fofana; Arcus, Biumia, Lefort, Hanin; Aholou, Belkhdim; Niane, Abdelli, El Melali; Dieng

We say: Monaco – Angers 3-0

Monaco's start has still been remarkable despite last week's derby defeat and they will be heavy favorites to get back to winning ways against one of Ligue 1's relegation candidates.

Despite a good result last weekend, Angers have not had quite as tough a test as the away trip to Monaco and could face a difficult evening.
