Caitlin Clark makes a huge splash as keynote speaker

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark certainly doesn't have to rely on her WNBA base salary of $76,535 for the 2024 season to make ends meet.

Due to the NCAA's NIL (name, image, likeness) rule, which allowed her to profit from her basketball success in the form of endorsements and sponsorships, the former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar was believed to have already made millions in college.

She has parlayed this into several lucrative brand deals and partnerships throughout her professional basketball career, including an eight-year, $28 million deal she signed with Nike earlier this year.

Clark's lack of need for the money is certainly a big reason why she hasn't been accepted into the Unrivaled Basketball League (and the record-breaking salary that comes with it) as quickly as many of her peers.

And another (allegedly) insanely lucrative way Clark makes money has recently come to light on social media: working as a keynote speaker.

Caitlin was spotted at a personal business event on Thursday. Following this, a LinkedIn post from Don Steinbrugge, founder and CEO of Agecroft Partners, went viral on X because he wrote: “We were told.” [Clark’s] The virtual speaking fee started at $100,000, which was beyond our budget. She makes more in a 30-minute virtual meeting than she does in a 40-game WNBA season with her team.”

X user @clrkszn took a screenshot of it and reposted it on

Then it came out that Clark also appeared at a virtual marketing webinar yesterday. This is the second virtual event she has attended this offseason, which would mean she has earned at least $600,000 this offseason from her speaking engagements alone.

While that rumored $100,000 speaking fee is by no means confirmed based on this one LinkedIn post, there's no question that the 22-year-old is being paid a pretty penny for his speaking engagements this offseason.
