Several people were injured in a car accident

MONTICELLO, Ky. (WYMT) – Multiple people are injured in a two-car accident in Monticello.

Police reported an accident occurred Thursday evening at the intersection of North Main Street and the KY-90 Bypass.

A Chevrolet, driven by Jimmy Humble, 79, of Monticello, was traveling on KY-90 when a Kia, driven by Brooklynn Hathaway, 28, of Somerset, attempted to turn onto North Main Street.

Police said Hathaway's car veered into the path of Humble's car, resulting in a head-on collision.

Hathaway was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment. A 1-year-old was taken to Wayne County Hospital in her car.

Police have not reported her condition.
