Best Ashton Jeanty Prop Bet and DFS Bet for Friday: A Bounce Back Tonight?

Boise State's College Football Playoff hopes live on after a thrilling victory over UNLV. Ashton Jeanty was clearly dealing with an injury, but still made an impact when it mattered most, scoring the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.

A 128-yard, one-touchdown performance is exceptional for most players. For Jeanty, it was a step down from the numbers he had been posting all season.

Jeanty needs much better stats tonight against San Diego State to avoid losing even more ground in the Heisman odds race. Check out my top Jeanty Prop bet and DFS picks if you're looking for SDSU vs. Boise State bets.

Best Ashton Jeanty player prop bet for SDSU vs. Boise State

First touchdown scorer

Opportunities: +155 odds at DraftKings

This is one of Jeanty's few touchdown scoring props with reasonable odds. At any given time on DraftKings, he is valued at -4000 to score, -250 to score 2+ TDs, and +115 to score 3+ TDs.

Bet365 has +120 odds for Jeanty to score the final touchdown, but with the spread set at Boise State -24, Jeanty might not play the entire game if the Broncos are up big. Especially after suffering an arm injury in last week's win.

The Heisman hopeful has scored the first touchdown in just three of Boise State's seven games. However, Jeanty's 18 rushing touchdowns rank second nationally and he is the best option when the Broncos reach the red zone.

Jeanty has scored 19 touchdowns this year while the rest of the Broncos have 20. San Diego State has only given up 10 rushing touchdowns, but has given up four in its last three games.

Jeanty poses a threat crossing the goal line even when Boise State is outside the red zone. He has eight touchdown runs over 50 yards.

San Diego State had difficulty stopping the rush, which spells disaster against the best RB in the country.

Under 12.5 receiving yards at Underdog fantasy

Desiring to post fewer than 12.5 receiving yards isn't the most exciting market to bet on. The underdog has higher/lower rushing yards, set at 189.5, which is another attractive bet.

Jeanty is averaging 196 rushing yards per game and has rushed for over 190 yards in four games. SDSU has one of the worst run defenses in the Mountain West, allowing nearly 160 yards per game.

However, I prefer to use Jeanty's receiving yards deeper since Boise State rarely uses him in passing attacks. He has just 12 receptions this year, with a season-high 20 receiving yards.

Excluding the 20-yard performance, Jeanty has fewer than 12 receiving yards in every game this season. He had eight or fewer receiving yards in each of the Broncos' first five games.

Jeanty was banged up last week and had a season-low 3.9 yards per carry. If his arm injury persists, trading Ashton at a value below his receiving value might be the safer bet.
