Hornets pull a Halloween jump scare prank on LaMelo Ball

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball probably isn't a fan of haunted houses.

As Halloween arrived, the Hornets franchise decided to prank the 23-year-old on Thursday.

Ball was at peace, singing “Blessings” by Big Sean and Drake while walking down a hallway.

But as he walked through a door, a creepy animatronic clown was waiting for him, and the 6-foot-tall security guard reacted accordingly.

Ball let out a scream before punching the clown and escaping up a flight of stairs. In the middle of his retreat, Ball lunged to hit the clown again and destroy the animatronics.

“Boy, damn it. It’s too early for this shit,” Ball said, shocked.

Ball averages 28.5 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists on 43.9% shooting for the Hornets. He finished with 19 points and 6 assists in Charlotte's 138-133 win on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors.
