3 plead guilty to killing teen during 2021 drug sale at Walmart in New Jersey – NBC10 Philadelphia

Three people have pleaded guilty to shooting a teenager during a drug transaction outside a Walmart in southern New Jersey in 2021, according to the Burlington County District Attorney's Office.

Jayviyohn Earley, 22, of Willingboro took a deal in which he pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in exchange for an 18-year prison sentence, officials said.

Meanwhile, officials said 28-year-old Tarik Jenkins of Pemberton Township and 22-year-old Kayhree Simmons of Willingboro made deals to plead guilty to aggravated manslaughter in exchange for 15-year sentences.

According to officers, all three admitted to going to the Route 541 Walmart parking lot on October 7, 2021 to participate in a drug transaction.

During that sale, officials said each of the men fired their weapons, killing 17-year-old Albert Williams of Hammonton. His father, Dion Williams, was also shot in that incident but survived.

Sentencing hearings for Earley, Jenkins and Simmons are scheduled for January 6, 2025.

A fourth suspect, 23-year-old Kweli McCants of Willingboro, still faces charges, as does a fifth, unnamed person who pleaded guilty to obstructing the investigation into the shooting, officials said.
