VINCENT, Ohio (WTAP) – A juvenile has been charged with three counts of assault following an incident at Warren High School on Tuesday night.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement responded to the scene at 5:24 p.m.

The young person is a former student who was not allowed onto school grounds after he was recently expelled from school.

While the soccer team was practicing, the teen began yelling at coaches and disrupting practice.

Several team coaches tried to de-escalate the situation by talking to the teenager.

During that time, the teen punched a trainer in the face and the other trainers attempted to grab him and pin him to the ground, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

When they let him go, he also hit two other trainers.

According to Warren Local Schools Superintendent Kyle Newton, there is no active threat to the school community.
