Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction, Odds and Tips

The Nuggets have won their last two games, evening their record. However, a team aiming to return to the NBA Finals probably shouldn't rely on OT to beat the Nets and Raptors – even on the road. Center Nikola Jokic has already posted some big plays, but we're still waiting to see their depth. Winger Christian Braun looks good as a starter, but defenseman Russell Westbrook has been terrible. Shocker!

Minnesota made the big offseason trade, bringing in forward Julius Randle. He's actually been great and guard Anthony Edwards has scored well early in the season. The other player acquired in the deal, winger Donte DiVincenzo, struggled to find his opportunity early on. This team needs more offense from him and several other players. After Minnesota knocked the Nuggets out of the playoffs last season, there will be excitement in the building.

This is the first time these rivals have met since last year's playoffs. That probably gives Wolves a little more confidence, but they are also still in a transition phase. Although the Nuggets had two consecutive OT games, they haven't played since Tuesday, so they should be fine in terms of rest. For me, visitors are the key to working. A slow start also gives us more value at Denver right now.

Nuggets vs. Timberwolves: Denver +4 (-110) available at time of publication. Playable under this number.
