Fultondale High School football loses three games due to an AHSAA violation and misses the 2024 playoffs

FULTONDALE, Ala. (WBRC) – The Fultondale High School football program has been fined and placed on probation, the Alabama High School Athletic Association announced.

The AHSAA says the program was fined and placed on probation for using ineligible players in violation of the AHSAA's transfer rule.

According to the organization, Fultondale must forfeit all games in which the players participated, all of which were regional wins against Hamilton, Fayette County and Cordova.

The Wildcats, who were in the playoffs, will now be unable to advance to the postseason. This means Fayette County has now moved into a playoff spot.
