The connection between education, crime and Kentucky Amendment 2

Who seriously believes that Amendment 2 aims to improve education for Kentucky's children overall? It is intended to help a select few, some of whom already attend non-public schools. During my career as a social worker helping families hindered by a lack of public education resources, I eventually saw a connection to high crime rates. Although crime is committed by people of all backgrounds, poor education creates great insecurity among children and makes crime more attractive to some. Most people want to reduce crime, but not address the scarcity that fuels it. Politicians are quick to denounce crimes. It makes sense unless they don't fund the resources to do so. Improved education is a great plan if it includes all children and not just the select few who lead to the deficit of others. Consider the long term perspective.
