5 dead in violent accident near Verona | 1310 WIBA

From the Dane County Sheriff's Department:

Madison, WI – On Friday, November 1, 2024, at approximately 11:12 p.m., Dane County Sheriff's deputies, Verona Police, and Verona Fire and Rescue responded to a fatal single-vehicle accident on the Range Trail, north of the Sunset Drive city of Verona.

The vehicle was traveling north on the Range Trail, left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames and all five occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office at a later date. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
