Bed-Stuy's goldfish pond is getting a new look after FDNY repairs the leaky fire hydrant

Brooklyn residents got quite a surprise Wednesday night when they saw the community's now-famous goldfish pond dry up and close Wednesday.

In August, goldfish and a leaky fire hydrant brought the Hancock Street community together.

But on Wednesday, the FDNY repaired the leaking fire hydrant, causing the water to dry up and the pond to be temporarily closed.

The community quickly came together to come up with a plan to save the pond.
