Two officers are injured and six are arrested in a bar brawl involving “30 to 40 people.”

SALT LAKE CITY – Two Salt Lake City police officers were injured in a bar fight near 1700 South Main Street early Saturday morning.

According to Salt Lake City police, an estimated 30 to 40 people were involved in a fight with each other and with police officers.

Due to the size of the fight, “officers and detectives from across the city responded to the incident,” police said. Police arrested six people in connection with the brawl.

The two injured officers did not need to be hospitalized. It is unclear why the fight started.
