SCHP Investigates Fatal Crash in Jasper Co.

JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in the Lowcountry.

According to officials, the accident occurred around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday.

A vehicle was traveling east and a Ford Ranger was traveling west on SC Highway 462 near Bolan Hall Road.

The Ford Ranger veered to the left and collided head-on with the other vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle died from his injuries at the scene and was the only occupant in the vehicle.

The driver of the Ford Ranger was the only occupant in the vehicle and was taken to hospital for treatment.
