Less than two weeks before his showdown with Jake Paul, Mike Tyson isn't surprised that at age 58 he's preparing to step into the boxing ring.

In a clip of him Behind the Mike On the YouTube show, Tyson explained that his journey back to the sport that made him famous was “written” long before he was born.

This is a different version of Tyson than the one who was the biggest star in boxing during his heyday in the '80s and '90s. Iron Mike admits in the video that he doesn't have to “bad mouth” people anymore and that he's “really happy” with where he's at right now.

As for his feeling as a boxer going into this fight, Tyson said he was “good enough” to beat Paul.

Tyson certainly appears to be in good physical shape after a stomach ulcer caused the fight to be postponed from its original scheduled date of July 20.

The upcoming fight with Paul will be Tyson's first sanctioned fight since June 11, 2005. He has a 50-6 record and has no contests twice in 58 career fights.

Paul has compiled a record of 10-1 in his 11 fights since turning professional as a boxer in 2020. He most recently defeated bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry on July 20 in a bout that was scheduled after Tyson's illness forced him to postpone the bout.

Tyson and Paul will face off on November 15th at AT&T Stadium.
