Search for suspect in murder of 13-year-old Kansas boy on Halloween

SEDGWICK COUNTY – Law enforcement agencies investigating a Halloween shooting that left a 13-year-old dead have issued a criminal complaint for the arrest of Jermall Campbell, according to Wichita police.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. According to Officer Kris Gupilan, police responded Thursday to a report of shots fired at the QuikTrip at Central and Oliver in Wichita.

Officers discovered evidence of a shooting and the supermarket. At the same time, a walk-in report was received from a local hospital indicating that a private vehicle had transported the victims of this incident for treatment.

The victims included a 15-year-old boy from Wichita who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and a 13-year-old boy who suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Initial investigation revealed that there was a disturbance in the QuikTrip parking lot, which resulted in the suspect firing into a crowd, which tragically resulted in injuries to the two victims.
