One person died in an accident on Saturday morning

EVERGREEN, Ala. (WALA) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has released a statement regarding a fatal accident that occurred early Saturday morning in Escambia County, Alabama.

The explanation is as follows:

“A single-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. on Saturday, November 2nd claimed the life of a Brewton woman. Dorothy A. Spears, 76, was fatally injured when the 2017 Toyota Camry she was driving left the roadway and struck a culvert. The accident occurred on US 29 near the 13 mile marker, about 13 miles northeast of East Brewton, in Escambia County. No further information is available.
