Weather delay in Kansas State: When will the game in Houston resume?

Kansas State And Houston They are scheduled to compete in Week 10, but the scheduled 3:30 p.m. ET start time will not take place.

Due to lightning strikes in the area, fans were asked to vacate the stands at TDECU Stadium. The game has been delayed but could start soon. KSO's Derek Young tweeted that players could warm up around 3:20 p.m. CT. Houston has now announced that the national anthem will begin at 3:21 p.m. CT and the coin toss will begin at 3:31 p.m. CT.

Heading into the game, Kansas State is the 12.5-point favorite against Houston. according to FanDuel. The over/under for the game is set at 45.5 points. It remains to be seen whether the weather levels the playing field somewhat for the Cougars.

The two programs met for the first time last season, with Kansas State handily defeating Houston 43-0. Obviously, the oddsmakers are expecting the Wildcats to add another win over the Cougars to their tally on Saturday.

Last weekend, Kansas State defeated its in-state rival Kansas 29-27, extending their winning streak to four games. The Wildcats' offense was spectacular in the win, totaling 482 yards of offense and only committing one turnover.

Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson completed 19 of his 34 pass attempts for 253 yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception. Run back DJ Giddens was the all-time leader in the ground game with 102 rushing yards and 18 carries.

However, Kansas State isn't the only team with a win. Last Saturday the Cougars defeated Utah 17-14 with a last second field goal. In the win, Houston's backfield was exceptional, producing 230 yards and 4.7 yards per carry.

J'Marion Burnette particularly notable as he achieved a game-high 81 rushing yards on just eight carries. Of course, Houston's offense wasn't solely responsible for the win. The Cougars' defense was also able to force the Utes into two turnovers.
