Jason Kelce smashes a fan's phone after his brother calls Travis a homophobic slur

Jason Kelce smashed a Penn State football fan's phone after the apparent heckler called his brother Travis Kelce a homophobic slur.

In now-viral footage that emerged on Saturday, November 2, as football fans surrounded him.

As the person filming the footage raised his fist toward 36-year-old Jason and shouted his name to punch him, another man nearby shouted the homophobic slur toward the retired Philadelphia Eagles star .

“Hey, Kelce. How does it feel that your brother is dating Taylor Swift?” the man asked, referring to Travis, who has been dating Swift, 34, since 2023.

Seconds later, Jason turned around, took the phone from the man's hands and smashed it on the ground.

“It looked like a Penn State student was looking at Kelce's face for no reason,” the first X user to post the clip wrote alongside it. “Wild scene in State College.”

Additional footage posted on The phone owner, who was wearing a Penn State hoodie at the time of the incident, was seen in several clips running close behind Jason and appearing to take shots of Jason before the altercation occurred.

Another scene based on “Give me my phone, bro,” he seemingly said to Jason.

The NFL alum who first grabbed the device then stood in front of the man and said, “Who's the devil now?” as other people appeared to intervene.

The incident occurred while Jason was in attendance at Beaver Stadium for an appearance on ESPN College game day. In the end, the Ohio State Buckeyes won Saturday's game, beating the Nittany Lions 20-13.

PEOPLE reached out to a representative for both Jason and ESPN but did not immediately receive a response.
