John Mulaney's opening monologue includes jokes about family life, rehab and his relationship with Olivia Munn

In his sixth appearance as host of Saturday Night Live, John Mulaney's opening monologue included jokes about his family life, his relationship with actress and wife Olivia Munn and his stay in a rehab facility in 2020.

The comedian most recently hosted the NBC sketch comedy show in 2022. He also addressed his health, telling a story about the wise words his father gave him during his recovery from substance abuse.

“He was trying to think of something clever and at one point he said, 'Ah yeah, I just wish Grandpa was here.'
