Fortnite Chapter 6 leak suggests a Japanese-themed season

Epic Games may have just launched Fortnite Remix, but the games' leakers aren't resting for a minute. After a live event centered around Juice WRLD on November 30, 2024, Fortnite Chapter 6 is expected to release at the end of the month and the new era of Fortnite will begin the next day. But that's all we knew about Chapter 6 so far, as Fortnite's massive list of leakers and dataminers have cracked the code and revealed what next season's theme could be.

Fortnite leaker Wensoing published a post on Twitter revealing that Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 will be themed around samurai and Japanese mythology (after months of rumors). In the post, the leaker claims that she and another leaker, Loolo, have confirmation that this will be the theme for the start of Fortnite Chapter 6. This was followed by the most prominent Fortnite leaker, ShiinaBR, posting that they were able to independently confirm the information released by the leakers.

Considering that the Neo Tokyo theme for Chapter 4 Season 2 and the Greek Mythology theme for Chapter 5 Season 2 resulted in the two best seasons of their respective chapters, I have high hopes for a themed season Japanese mythology. The idea of ​​following the formula of Chapter 5, Season 2 – where the Greek gods took over the map – but replacing it with Yokai-style bosses seems like a great idea. It would also give Epic the excuse to bring back the Katana Mythic from Chapter 4, Season 2.

Of course, ShiinaBR can also be wrong sometimes, so it's worth taking this with a grain of salt until Epic Games officially reveals details about Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. However, given the track record of these leakers, the likelihood of it happening seems pretty high. Luckily, we don't have to wait long, as Fortnite Remix is ​​a shorter season than usual and Epic Games will likely start testing what's coming next in a few weeks.
