Syracuse man arrested in Rome drug investigation, cocaine and weapons found

ROME, New York (AP) — A Syracuse man was arrested in Rome on Friday after more than a hundred packages of cocaine, as well as weapons and ammunition, were found on him, police said.

Alfred L. Thomas, 39, was arrested following an investigation into cocaine sales, Rome police said in a news release Friday.

During a search, 133 individual packages of cocaine weighing 1.3 ounces were found, police said. Two handguns, various ammunition and $390 were also found, it said.
