Third Test India vs New Zealand: Patel scores 11 as India loses by 25 runs | Cricket News

DEVELOPMENT OF THE STORY,

New Zealand win the third Test by 25 runs and the series 3-0, while hosts India crash out for 121 at the Wankhede Stadium.

New Zealand became only the second team in the history of Test cricket to gloss over a home series for India after winning their third Test against the hosts by runs in Mumbai.

Needing 147 runs to win the final and salvage some pride from losing the first two Test matches and the series, India had to settle for 121 runs on the third day of play at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

The series victory was India's only home win in its 90-year Test history, the first coming in 2000 at the hands of South Africa.

New Zealand off-spin bowler Ajaz Patel picked up 11 wickets in the match.

This is a developing story. More details to follow.
