Motorcyclist dies after two-vehicle crash Nov. 2 in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM Police said one person is dead and another person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck near the intersection of Depot Street and Box Pond Road Saturday afternoon.

In a news release, Bellingham police said dispatchers received “multiple 911 calls” reporting a car accident in the area of ​​Depot Street and Box Pond Road around 2:32 p.m. Saturday. Callers stated that the accident involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle and that the driver of the motorcycle was on the ground and unresponsive.

Upon arrival moments later, police and firefighters “immediately began providing life-saving first aid,” the police press release said.

The unidentified motorcyclist was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center, where he later died, police said.

Police said the driver of the pickup truck, who was still at the scene, was also taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Initial reports suggest speed may have been a factor, police said. Nobody was charged.

The accident is being investigated by the Bellingham Police Department in collaboration with the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Regional Accident Reconstruction Team.

No further information would be released, the police said, citing reports from next of kin.
