Biden says Trump is someone “you'd like to punch in the a– at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.”

President Biden criticized former President Donald Trump as someone “you'd like to bring to his knees” while criticizing his political goals during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Speaking to members of the local carpenters union in his hometown of Scranton, Biden sought to shore up union support for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in the final days of the 2024 election.

“I know some of you are tempted to think he's this macho guy… but I'm serious, these are the kind of guys you'd want to beat in the ass,” Biden said, gritting his teeth together.

The puzzling remark came after he told those in attendance – who applauded and cheered the 46th president – that “the stakes couldn't be higher.” I come here today to talk about what is at stake for all of us .”

On Tuesday, the president generated a flurry of headlines after he denigrated Trump's supporters as “trash” shortly after the Republican candidate's rally at Madison Square Garden, where a comedian mocked Puerto Rico as a “floating island of trash.”

Trump's campaign pounced on Biden's inflammatory gaffe, and the candidate took a ride in a garbage truck — while wearing a garbage collector's neon orange high-visibility vest — after arriving for a rally in Wisconsin the following day.

The White House subsequently reportedly rejected a number of campaign appeals that would have Biden at the center.

In October, Biden caused a stir when he appeared to call for Trump's imprisonment during a campaign stop in New Hampshire.

“If I said this five years ago, you would lock me up: We have to lock him up,” Biden said, before trying to backtrack seconds later: “Politically, lock him up – lock him out, that “Is what we have to do.”
