Israel kills another Hezbollah commander in retaliatory strikes: IDF

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claim to have killed another Hezbollah commander responsible for recent attacks in northern Israel.

The IDF said on Sunday morning that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked and killed terrorist Farouk Amin Alasi, the Hezbollah commander of the Khiam area.

Alasi was responsible for carrying out numerous anti-tank missile and rocket attacks on Israeli communities in the Galilee Panhandle and particularly on Metula.

In addition, the IDF killed terrorist Yousef Ahmad Nun, a company commander in the Radwan forces in the Khiam region, who was responsible for rocket and anti-tank missile attacks on Israeli communities in the Galilee region and IDF troops operating in the region.

This came a day after the IDF claimed to have killed two Hezbollah commanders blamed for more than 400 attacks against Israel in October.

IDF troops continue their operational activity in southern Lebanon. The IDF destroyed Radwan forces and other Hezbollah terrorists through air strikes and hand-to-hand combat. In addition, troops found large quantities of Hezbollah weapons.

During the war, Akdieh served as an aide to the commander of Islamic Jihad's Nukhba forces in the Khan Junis Brigade.

IDF troops continue operations in the central and southern Gaza Strip to locate weapons and decimate terrorist cells.

Israel's attack on Friday followed a deadly attack by Hezbollah forces in northern Israel on Thursday.

The first attack occurred in Metula – a town on the Israel-Lebanon border – which killed an Israeli farmer and four foreign farm workers. A second reported Hezbollah attack killed two people near Haifa.
