F1 Brazilian Grand Prix 2024 – Qualifying results

Lando Norris has secured pole position for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix after Max Verstappen suffered a nightmarish early retirement.

A poorly timed red flag in Q2 resulted in him being eliminated in Q2 and with an engine starting penalty looming, Verstappen is expected to start from 17th.

Lewis Hamilton also endured a disastrous session as he failed to get past Q1 – the seven-time world champion is expected to start in 16th place.

George Russell will join the pole sitter on the front row, while Yuki Tsunoda and Esteban Ocon fill the second row.
