SNL highlights the stupidest thing you can do with your JD

You know you'd rather mindlessly scroll through TikTok than mindlessly bill hours. Saturday Night Live also knows this and has dealt with TikTok and its many influencers in its latest parody sketch.

Lawyers may find the video particularly entertaining starting around 2:53, when a tradwife appears – that is, a woman who believes in traditional gender roles and marriages and focuses on submissive housekeeping and child-rearing. Her law studies from a seemingly previous life also come to light, but not necessarily in the way you would expect.

“As a 22-year-old mother of 10, I like to do everything by hand,” says the tradwife. “Today my children wanted to paint, but we all ran out of paper. So I combined my law studies to write more papers for my children.”

Friends, as frustrating as it can sometimes be to be a full-time lawyer and a full-time mother, please do not mix your law degrees. It's much easier to order a new pack of art paper from Amazon – not to mention you don't even need a rolling pin.
