“SNL” is accused of ripping off Trump’s skit with Fallon in 2015 for Kamala Harris’ surprise appearance

“Saturday Night Live” is accused of copying a skit that former President Donald Trump did with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” in 2015 and using the same concept for Kamala Harris’ surprise appearance.

Harris made a last-minute appearance on the late-night show on November 2 as she gave advice to her fictional self – portrayed by Maya Rudolph – ahead of the presidential election.

In the cold open, Rudolph's Harris hustled Andy Samberg, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, Jim Gaffigan as Vice President Tim Walz and Dana Carvey's President Joe Biden from her Philadelphia dressing room after discussing her campaign.

Rudolph sat in a chair next to the mirror in her dressing room and wished someone could give her advice for the final days of the campaign.

“I wish I could talk to someone in my situation,” Rudolph said to himself in an empty room.

The real Harris suddenly appeared on the other side of the dressing room mirror and shouted, “You and me both, sister!”

The pair poked fun at Harris' shrieking laughter and the “drama” of politics before the Democratic presidential candidate asked her impersonator, “Is there any chance you're registered in Pennsylvania?” – a key swing state in which Trump, according to is slightly ahead in a new Quinnipiac poll.

Viewers noted the concept and setting seemed strikingly familiar to Donald Trump's sketch in Jimmy Fallon's “The Tonight Show” spot from when he was running for president on September 12, 2015.

Jimmy Fallon, a former “Saturday Night Live” member, portrayed Trump during the broadcast of his late-night talk show.

He sat down at what looked almost like the locker room mirror and said, “Wow, I look amazing,” as Trump appeared on the other side of the mirror, as did Kamala.

“No, we look fantastic, and I mean fantastic,” Trump said.

The two Trumps discussed preparing for what was then the second Republican primary debate, job creation, immigration, taxes, his possible run for vice president and being “really rich.”

In both skits, which aired on NBC shows, the comedians mirrored the politicians' hand movements and facial expressions as they spoke.

Viewers didn't shy away from pointing out similar sketches.

“Kamala ripped off the same thing Trump did when he appeared on Saturday Night Live in 2015 … and Trump's appearance was twice as long,” radio host Ari Hoffman said on X.

“Kamala on SNL can't even be ORIGINAL…had to plagiarize Trump and his much funnier skit. She is soooo CRINGE,” another user commented.

Harris held campaign events in Atlanta and Charlotte, North Carolina. Earlier Saturday, she traveled to 30 Rock for her “SNL” spot. She left the building shortly after her performance and landed in Detroit early Sunday.

A Trump campaign spokesman criticized Harris for appearing on the late-night sketch show just days before the presidential election.

“Kamala Harris has nothing of substance to offer the American people, so she lives out her twisted fantasy playing on Saturday Night Leftists with her elite friends while her campaign fades into obscurity. Over the past four years, Kamala's destructive policies have resulted in untold misery and pain for all Americans. She broke it, and President Trump will fix it,” spokesman Steven Cheung told Fox News.
