Woman accused of threatening neighbors with a gun. Police say it was an Orbeez gun

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A woman has been charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon after threatening her neighbors with what police said looked like a gun.

Officials say 44-year-old Crystal Newton-Henderson was arrested Saturday after pointing a gun at her neighbors.

According to the affidavit, Newton-Henderson had gotten into an argument with her neighbor that led to the change.

Officers said the neighbor told them they thought it was a real gun when Newton-Henderson pointed it at them.

They say Newton-Henderson fired several times in their direction, leading them to believe it might have been a pellet gun.

When police arrived, Newton-Henderson told them she had been drinking and the gun wasn't real.

The gun turned out to be an Orbeez toy gun.

Newton-Henderson was taken to Deaconess Midtown for jail release before being booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail without bail.
